Derek and Heather Diener have called Balfour home since 2006, and they couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. They love the people, the lake, the mountains and the lifestyle that makes this community so special.
Derek has been serving the region as an independent Mortgage Broker for more than 15 years and is also recognized for his past careers in hockey and golf. Heather has managed two dental offices in Nelson over the past 15 years and is known for her warm, bubbly personality and the way she makes people feel welcome.
At The Landing, Heather will be the friendly face guests see every day, leading the restaurant and lodging operations full time. Derek will take on a part-time role as General Manager while continuing to run his mortgage business.
Together, they are passionate about creating a vibrant, positive, and welcoming atmosphere at The Landing—sharing their love for Balfour with both locals and visitors.
